Attendance Tracking in ClubManagerbyBMABA
Updated over a week ago

A key function of our Club Management Platform is centred around ensuring both you and your students/parents can easily monitor attendance and the impact of that on any potential grading readiness.

Here's how attendance tracking works;

Initial Preferences

The first thing you'll need to do is go to the Wordpress Admin panel and click through to Club Manager > Settings.

Here you can set whether a student should be assumed as Absent by default or Present by default. The idea being that you will only ever need to designate what isn't the case.

For example, if you have high attendance rates and set this preference to 'Present by Default' whenever a class takes place, everyone booked on will be assumed to be there. You only need to mark those who are absent. If you have a 'come and go' student base, you may wish to assume all booked on students do not attend, and you can mark those who do.

Once you've set your preference, save the settings and head into the Club Manager by BMABA Dashboard.

Managing Attendance

You can view attendance by going to ATTENDANCE on the left hand menu and then selecting the relevant class on the right hand drop down. When you have selected the class in question, click 'Manage'.

From here, you'll see all students who are booked onto your classes. You can see their last attended date, and you can click through to 'Attendance' for each student to mark whether or not they're absent or present.

As you'll see, your default setting (covered above in 'initial preferences) will take effect, either assuming the student to be at each class or not, depending on whether you have set them to be present by default or absent by default.

You can then update this for any class by clicking on the toggle and then pressing 'update attendance'.

That's it! The changes are saved and updated in realtime. Marking a student absent also automatically fees into their grade progression readiness, which you can set from the 'grades' menu.

Parents / Students Self-Viewing

Your parents or students can also see their attendance record by going into the student dashboard, clicking on 'CLASSES' and then Joined Classes per the below;

From there, they can view attendance via the purple attendance button on the right hand side of the currently joined classes list;

For each individual lesson they are booked onto, they can click through to see their current grade, last attendance, how far into the belt they before the next grading marker and a colour coded attendance record too.
