You're free to update most of your content within MyBMABA relating to membership - such as address, phone number, club name and so on. Some details are, however, locked down to maintain data integrity.
Your grades and disciplines taught are part of this restriction.
Updating us on a new grade attained
First things first, congratulations. Please keep us posted on any new grade progressions so we can ensure your records are up to date. We'll need to see proof of grade before we can make any formal changes so the best thing to do is to please contact the team - ideally via chat or by email to [email protected] - and let us know you've successfully graded. You can upload a scan or photo of your grading certificate too. We can usually complete these changes within 5 working days but it can take longer if a senior team member is needed to approve the award.
Adding a new discipline to your membership and/or insurance
If you've recently become qualified to instruct a style not currently associated with your membership, or if you want to expand your current list of approved disciplines to include styles by association - such as self defence for those teaching Karate, etc, we'll need either proof of grade (for formal awards) or an overview of your request (for those looking to add styles by close association for which there is no formal documentation).
