Active Bugs

Here's a list of active bugs being currently worked on. As we release updates, we'll post them to our roadmap. If you're using WordpressbyBMABA, we'll automatically push out the latest version as it becomes available.

There are currently no open bugs reported but not yet fixed.

Troubleshooting Typical Issues

Most issues with ClubManager are minor, and can be resolved with basic troubleshooting. Whilst we've designed the plugin to be as versatile as possible, and to 'play nice' with the widest parameter of scripts, there are sometimes plugins or specific setups which can cause conflicts.

Here's a few common troubleshooting issues you should work through before contacting us for support;

  1. I Don't Know How To Get Started?
    Don't worry - that's okay. We can help. Please click here to see a step by step setup guide, including a 30 minute tutorial.

  2. My Licence Key Isn't Available?

    Sometimes it takes a little while for Stripe, our payment provider, to recognise your payment and to update the licencing portal. Sometimes it also takes time for a £0 order to do the same!

    Most licences are available within an hour or so of setup, but it can sometimes take a little longer. If you're concerned, or eager to get going, please jump onto chat or email [email protected] and we'll do our best to speed along the issuance of the key.

  3. I'm seeing a warning about IonCube
    Part of what makes the plugin secure is a tool called ionCube Loader for PHP. It helps to encrypt data in transit throughout the club manager, which makes it safer for everyone.

    It's a very basic feature of hosting that just about any web hosting provider can switch on for you. If you're not hosting with BMABA, you'll need to ask your hosting provider to activate IonCube for you. You'll also need to be on PHP 8.1. This is a straight forward request, and your host shouldn't charge a penny more to activate this.

  4. I'm getting 404 errors when trying to use club manager?
    Please double check via the SETTINGS > PERMALINKS section of Wordpress that you are using postname as the correct structure. If that doesn't resolve it, please clear any browser or server caching you might be running. If you're using WordpressbyBMABA, please go to 'Hummingbird > Clear Cache' (if active) to see if that resolves the issue.

    If that doesn't work, please let us know you're having issues accessing the admin page, and let us know if it's redirecting you to a 404 (page not found) error or the student login box. We can perform a server-side cache clear, which almost always resolves the issue.

  5. Why can't my users sign up via the student login page?
    Don't forget to enable registration on your site, from the SETTINGS > GENERAL - 'Enable Registration'. If you use WordpressbyBMABA, we've automatically set this as 'ON' for you.

    If this fails, please double check how many members are registered on your site (go to Users in the menu). Double check you have enough spaces left on your ClubManagerbyBMABA licence to support this number. If you end up with more students than your licence permits, users will see a warning saying 'they can not login'.

  6. I'm getting a fatal error on activating the plugin?

    This is usually caused by your Wordpress instance not having the correct server-side setup. If you host with BMABA, please let us know. If you host elsewhere, please ask your webhost to make sure you meet the following;

    Wordpress 6.0 or higher.

    PHP 8.1

    IonCube needs to be enabled (see below)

    WooCommerce plugin installed and active.

  7. Some active users are struggling to login?

    Before assuming it to be a licence issue, it's likely just login credentials being entered incorrectly. The first place to go is into the client account (via the student overview section) to reset their password. Test the password from your end 'incognito' (so you're not logged in as an admin) to evaluate if that is now working, and ask the client to change their password once they login.

    If you have ever changed your ClubManager by BMABA licence there seems to be an odd possibility of it locking out users assumed under a previous or other licence key. This is because each student is given an anonymous licence ID number when they sign up on your site. There is a possibility of the system thinking you might be trying to 'work around' the licence limit on each account. If this happens, we might need to roll you back to the initial licence key and then we can make manual adjustments to the student limits to reflect any updates to student numbers, allowances, memberships etc. This should then allow the system to re-sync new/old users. Please speak to the team if you've ever changed your licence key and believe this might be behind it.
