One of the most essential parts of your BMABA membership is MyBMABA. This is our main instructor extranet through which you can communicate with our team, access resources and contents, purchase goods and services - and so on. This is located at mybmaba.org.uk.
The BMABA portal is the second crucial part of your BMABA membership and provides you with real-time access to data, such as memberships, insurance, students, and so on.
What Is The BMABA Portal & Who's It For?
The BMABA portal is exclusively for use for instructors. Both lead instructors and additional instructors can use the portal, as can management accounts (which are freely available on request for any clubs who would like to provide additional access for club secretaries, admin volunteers and so on).
It provides a direct link to our central system, providing real-time data as we see it our end. Everything from your instructor record and any applicable insurances, through to club registrations, students (open, named and temporary), volunteers, assistants, dispatch logs, LSGR records, and everything else.
Most of it is 'read only' (meaning you have to request changes, or make changes from MyBMABA) but it does provide an immediate, fast way to manage your membership, and that of your team and students etc.
Signing Up For Access & Troubleshooting Activation
There is currently no way to self-sign up to the BMABA portal. It's on an invite-only basis, for security reasons. We're working on a way to allow self-activation but for now you'll need to either request activation, or look out for the activation email.
Please remember to check your junk folder for the activation email if you can't find it in your main inbox. It will arrive shortly after you first register with BMABA, if registering after January 2nd 2024.
On 15th January 2024, we switched off the previous internal MyBMABA portal in favour of the new Instructor Portal for existing members. We emailed everyone on 15th January with an invite to the new portal.

Cookies Issue?
From time to time, some browsers - usually Safari - experience an issue in which clicking through to activate your portal access will result in an error message regarding cookies. This is rare, but it has happened on occasion. If you experience this, please don't worry. Forward the entire email to [email protected] and let us know you're struggling to set your password. Our team can sort that for you. You can let us know via webchat, too.
Accessing The Portal After Activation
Once you've received the activation email and you'll usually receive a final confirmation to confirm the portal as being live. After setting your password, you'll be taken to the portal where you can immediate access all data.
When you need to next access the portal, either bookmark the direct URL or head to https://mybmaba.org.uk and click through to 'portal' on the main menu.

Finding Your Way Around
The portal itself is very straightforward and self-explanatory. You should use the relevant tabs to explore, see and edit all records as required.
Most of the portal is read only meaning for tasks such as registering more students, or changes your styles and grades, you'll need to speak with our team.
Accessing Documentation
When you first enter the portal, it should direct you to your records page. You can also find this via 'INSTRUCTORS > Your Name'. When you're on your profile, scroll down to the URL documentation in the main details section, or use the top link;
Data Showing Incorrectly?
It's possible your account still needs updating. This can be the case if you've just joined, or just renewed. If in doubt, please do speak with our team.
