BMABA offers a wide range of certified qualifications and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses to support instructors and supporting staff across our community. What you can access depends on your membership tier or account type.
You can now access all of your courses directly at mybmaba.org.uk/cpd. There's no longer a separate redemption step or access codes to enter; everything you're entitled to appears automatically based on your account, ready to start.

Management accounts
Management accounts do not include CPD course access. Course access sits with the instructor, assistant and volunteer accounts attached to your club instead.
Your courses and the National Register
Completing a course on MyBMABA does not automatically update your record on the National Register, and that is deliberate.
The evidence behind certain completed training, such as safeguarding or first aid, is held, stored and retained in a separate system to MyBMABA, with its own retention period. Under UK GDPR and our ISO 27001 information security standard, we are not able to automatically move or verify that evidence between systems without compromising those controls.
It also protects you. We will never release new or updated CPD in a way that wipes your prior verification, knocks out a linked standard such as Club Colours, or forces you to restart an award or standard simply because the CPD schedule has changed. Anything you have already earned stays exactly as it is.
Course validity and the 2-year refresh
Most courses will naturally expire and clear your progress after two years. This matches the natural validity period of most awards and qualifications.
When that happens, you'll simply be able to re-enrol and work through the latest version of the content again, keeping your knowledge current and up to date.
Coaching courses never expire or reset.
New CPD and CIMSPA endorsement
We're always innovating and adding new CPD to support you and your club. As a CIMSPA Endorsed Training Provider, we map all of our qualifications to a recognised professional standard wherever possible.
Mapped is not the same as endorsed. A course is only formally CIMSPA Endorsed CPD where we have specifically submitted it to CIMSPA, it has been through their review process, and it has been certified as endorsed. Where that is the case, we'll always state it clearly on the course itself. If a course doesn't explicitly say it's CIMSPA endorsed, please treat it as CIMSPA-mapped rather than formally endorsed.
Can I skip straight to Level 3 if I already hold Level 1 and 2 on the old framework?
Unfortunately not, and we know that can feel frustrating, so here's the reasoning.
We absolutely still recognise the Level 1 and Level 2 you completed under the previous framework. However, our new suite of coaching courses has been rebuilt around CIMSPA-mapped terminology and language, with each course externally verified and mapped to the next. Because of this, progression is tied to the new framework itself: Level 3 (Senior Coach) requires both the new Level 1 (Foundation) and Level 2 (Qualified Coach) to be completed before it can be started.
The good news is that you won't lose any progress. If you begin the new Level 1 Foundation course, we'll continue to recognise your prior Level 2 right up until you've completed the new Qualified Coach (Level 2). That way you're never left without recognised standing while you work through the updated pathway.
It's an extra step, but it's what allows us to keep the methodology robust and the external verification and mapping valid across every course.
