Club Risk Score
Updated over a month ago

Your club risk rating is the combined score of verification across your club, merged with other factors such as claims, performance, and public source information. It helps inform us as to the relevant risk posed by a club, and is a factor in designating account audits, mystery students, and so on. Ensuring all evidence for you and your team is fully verified is an essential part of improving your risk rating.

We use internal and external systems, some of which are proprietary platforms, to help us understand the risk posed by instructors and clubs in the UK. This looks at grading organisations (the organisations responsible for the issuance of grades, tracked across hundreds and even thousands of instructors) alongside things such as social media profiles and use, to help us ascertain a 'soft risk'. That is then combined with 'hard risk' - such as failing to login to MyBMABA, or to check insurance paperwork, or verify DBS checks - and so on.

The biggest aspect of risk is undocumented instructors and team members, so ensuring things like DBS checks, first aid qualifications and so on are all uploaded and validated is crucial.

After submitting evidence for review, it won't show up on your score immediately. You'll need to await a review by our colleagues before the evidence is approved. All DBS checks are reviewed manually after our AI scans the documentation.

Other checks are scanned by AI and if positively confirmed, can be automatically proved on a 1 in 3 basis. The rest are manually reviewed by our team, which is why it can take a few days for verification to complete.
